Changing how you power your home raises a lot of questions. Here are the ones we hear most — and if yours isn't here, just ask us.
We offer two ways to go solar. Rent To Own is a rental over 3, 5 or 7 years with the option to own the system outright at the end, from R1 418 a month. Subscription is a monthly plan with no fixed term, from R1 299 a month, with the option to cancel after 24 months. Both include free annual maintenance and insurance.
Rent-to-own lets you switch to solar with no up-front cost. You can upgrade your system at any time, buy it out whenever you choose, and free annual maintenance and insurance are included. Accept your quote within 7 days and we'll waive the initiation fee.
Unless your solar energy system includes battery storage and you are fully off the grid, you'll still receive a bill from your utility. However, you can dramatically reduce it — or bring it close to zero — with a solar and battery system matched to your energy use.
The first step is working out which package suits your needs, using our online calculator. Once you submit your details you'll receive a quote. If you accept it, we'll schedule a free site assessment to take exact measurements and confirm the system is feasible. You'll then receive a proforma invoice, and once your deposit is paid an installation team will contact you to arrange a convenient date. The physical installation takes approximately one to two days.
North-facing roofs with little to no shade and enough space to fit a solar panel system are ideal for installing solar. However, in many cases there are workarounds if your home doesn't have the ideal roof for a solar installation.
Your solar energy system relies on sunlight to generate power. While solar panels produce less energy on cloudy days and none at night, adding batteries to your solar energy system lets you store excess energy produced during the day for use when the sun isn't shining.
